Havana, Jun 18 (RHC) - Alejandro Rodríguez will be the only Cuban in the Huatulco Triathlon World Cup 2025, to be held on June 21 and 22 in that Mexican city.

He will compete in the demanding Sprint modality, which includes a circuit of 750 meters of swimming, 20 kilometers of cycling, and 5 kilometers of running, as confirmed by Alejandro Puerto, president of the Cuban Triathlon Federation.

Known in the sports world as “El Kenya”, Rodriguez will seek to stand out in the Mexican event to score decisive points on his way to global elites.

The current World Triathlon scholarship holder is ranked 118th in the world and is number 21 in the ranking that governs the Americas.

37 international competitions have marked his career. He has been on the podium 14 times, including several victories that have consolidated his status as a reference international triathlete.

Rodriguez arrives in Huatulco with the momentum of his last silver medal performance in the Pan American Cup held in Calima, Colombia, with a time of 1:54:12 hours.
