Panama, Jun 19 (RHC) Panama's president, José Raúl Mulino, celebrated today that his country has obtained the hosting of the Group B games of the America's Cup baseball tournament next November.

In his usual weekly press conference, the president said that the Mariano Rivera stadium in the city of La Chorrera, in the province of West Panama, has been prepared for these games.

Mulino indicated that this is a very relevant fact, since the country will host the challenges to be held from November 13 to 22 of the first continental tournament of its kind, organized under the endorsement of the World Baseball and Softball Confederation.

The tournament will include the best national teams, among them those of Mexico, the United States, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and Panama.

The stadium, named after Mariano Rivera, former Major League Baseball player, was designed according to Major League Baseball (MLB) specifications and has a capacity for 10,000 people.

The Secretary General of Pandeportes, Francisco Sanjur, recently said that among the amenities of the facility are access for people with disabilities, kiosks, restaurants overlooking the field, and VIP boxes, as well as a press area and broadcast booths.
