Havana, July 18 (RHC) - Saidel Horta, Jorge Cuellar, and Nelson Williams today sealed Cuba's perfect performance in the final of the open boxing tournament in Guizhou, China.
All went over locals, with Horta (57 kg), world runner-up, as 3-2 executioner of Ping Lv, silver medalist at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games.
The information issued by the Island's delegation specifies that he was better in the first and third rounds, and thus sealed a solid return to competitive activity after months away due to health problems.
Cuellar (71 kg), number three in the Central Caribbean, showed superiority with a 5-0 decision over Shi Han Hu, and Williams gave himself a "fight" against Han Xuezhen, runner-up of the 2022 Asian Games.
