Gaza City, January 20 (RHC)-- Two Palestinians have been wounded in the latest Israeli airstrike on the Gaza Strip. The Israeli drone strike targeted a motorcycle in north of the Gaza City, leaving its rider in critical condition. Reports say a 12-year-old boy who was standing nearby suffered moderate head wounds in the raid.

The Israeli military confirmed the attack, claiming that the drone targeted a senior member of the Islamic Jihad movement. The attack comes just hours after the besieged enclave was targeted by two other Israeli air raids.

There has been no immediate confirmation of possible casualties from the earlier attacks. A similar Israeli attack on January 15 wounded a Palestinian woman and four children in Gaza.

According to the Palestinian rights groups, over a dozen Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces in the first half of 2013, and nearly 1,800 Palestinians, including women and children, were seized during the same period.
