Tokyo, March 31 (RHC-Agencies)-- A report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released on Monday concluded that climate change threatens human security.

The panel's latest report assesses the impacts of climate change on human and natural systems, options for adaptation and opportunities for the future.

The document was released in Tokyo, where a general meeting of Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change closed sessions Sunday.

“Climate change over the 21st century is projected to reduce renewable surface water and groundwater resources significantly in most dry subtropical regions, intensifying competition for water," the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change said in the report.
