U.S.-owned factories in Mexico reopen despite spread of COVID-19

Mexico City, May 7 (RHC)-- In Mexico, tens of thousands of factory workers in the northern border state of Baja California are being forced to return to work after the local government reclassified maquiladoras as “essential.” 

Workers say the U.S.-owned factories are failing to provide them personal protective equipment, triggering massive coronavirus outbreaks.
