New massacre denounced in Chocó, Colombia

Bogota, September 27 (RHC)-- The National Network of Citizens' Initiatives for Peace and against War (Redepaz) and the Institute of Studies for Development and Peace (Indepaz) has denounced that a new massacre occurred in Colombia, resulting in three deaths.

According to Indepaz, unknown gunmen killed three people, whose identities are unknown, in the Horizonte neighborhood of the sector known as El Playón in Quibdó, in the western department of Chocó.

According to images posted on social networks, the perpetrators approached the victims on a balcony of a house.  

The authorities began investigations into the case without offering details so far.

According to an account by Indepaz, from January to date there have been 63 massacres in Colombia.
