Cali, January 8 (RHC)-- The Revolutionary Alternative Force of the Common (FARC) party has denounced the murder of Cristian Ramírez, a former combatant of the demobilized Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, in the southwestern city of Cali.

In a statement published on its social network account, the FARC party indicated that "today in Cali they murdered comrade Cristian Ramírez (Diego Maria Yule Rivera)," who had already survived an earlier attack.
Ramírez was doing his reincorporation exercise in the Dagoberto Ortiz Territorial Training and Reincorporation Space (ETCR), located in the town of Miranda in Cauca.

"With him are 252 peace signatories systematically killed.  We do not want to continue burying comrades before the complicit view of a government that wants to shatter peace," the Colombian political collective said in the tweet.

The leadership of the FARC party in the Valle del Cauca demanded in a communiqué that the necessary investigations be carried out "to clarify the facts presented and to find the whereabouts of the authors and determiners of this crime."

"We insist that the only way out of this new wave of violence is the effective and integral implementation of the Peace Agreement," signed between the FARC and the Colombian government in 2016.
