Palestine solidarity activist ends death-defying crane protest in London

London, June 17 (RHC)-- After spending two perilous days and a difficult night on top of a huge crane overlooking the U.S. Embassy in London, 69-year-old activist Nicholas Georges has returned to ground level.

Armed with little more than a Palestinian flag, Georges risked his life in the daredevil stunt to raise awareness of Israeli crimes against Palestinians.  Nick is back down, safe and sound, but the battle doesn’t end there.  After a trip to the hospital, Nick could be detained and possibly charged by the police and could face a lengthy court fight, too.

However, activists like Nick know these risks, but are prepared to keep coming out to fight for Palestine -- proving that as long as Palestine is oppressed, radical action will continue in the UK and elsewhere.
