Havana, August 15 (RHC) Tropical Storm Grace maintained little change in organization and intensity in the last hours and continues on Sunday its rapid movement west-northwestward over the Northeastern Caribbean Sea with a speed of 26 kilometers per hour.

The Forecast Center of the Institute of Meteorology of Cuba estimated the central region of this system at 06:00, local time, at 17.0 degrees north latitude and 64.6 degrees west longitude, 215 kilometers southeast of San Juan (Puerto Rico) and 580 kilometers east-southeast of Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic).

The images of meteorological satellites showed that it maintains the development of abundant clouds with strong storms around its central region and maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour, with higher gusts and its minimum central pressure of 1,010 hectoPascal.

It is expected that this Sunday, the atmospheric phenomenon will reach Puerto Rico.  Some strengthening is expected before Grace reaches
Hispaniola, where Haiti was devastated by Saturday's powerful 7.4 earthquake.

"Landslides, flash floods, and road washouts are possible, especially in areas where the ground is already soft due to the earthquake," warns Weather.com, which forecasts between 10 and 17 centimeters of sediment in both countries.
