Bogotá, September 3 (RHC)-- The government of Colombian President Iván Duque is carrying out a dirty campaign against leftist leaders grouped in the Historic Pact, denounced Congressman Iván Cepeda.

The senator affirmed that there are facts that link the intelligence of the Colombian State with the ruling Democratic Center, in order to carry out manipulation campaigns through social networks against the Historic Pact.

In a message published in his Twitter account, Cepeda said: "This is the denunciation I presented this morning about the criminal plan that involves leaders of the Democratic Center, military intelligence agents, social network management companies, as well as journalists and media related to Uribism".

According to the legislator, the intention behind this activity would be to stop the advances made by sectors of the Colombian left.

Cepeda mentioned that he is being victim of these dirty campaigns together with his parliamentary colleagues Gustavo Bolivar, Roy Barrea and Gustavo Petro.

He revealed that in an anonymous letter he was informed that, with the help of the Colombian State intelligence, there is a task of illegal tracking of his relatives and closest persons.

He called political leaders of the Historic Pact, an initiative that seeks an alliance for the 2022 elections, to converge to face these smear campaigns.
