La Paz, October 28 (RHC)-- The president of Bolivia, Luis Arce, highlighted that thanks to the sovereign policies implemented during his government, a significant economic growth has been achieved.  At the opening of the XV Meeting of Bolivian Economists, the Bolivian leader said that "Bolivia today, despite the international context, has a significant economic growth because the Productive Social Community Economic Model, as its name suggests, has emphasized precisely this last word, the productive."

President Luis Arce emphasized that this model contributes to generate price stability, income redistribution and reduction of poverty indexes in the country.  The president also commented that many countries are watching with admiration what is happening in Bolivia, and assured that it is the result of a sovereign economic policy, of a model that does not respond to an imported one, but to one of import substitution.

"Bolivia today is seeking to substitute imports, produce what is consumed in our country and generate, therefore, production, added value, and save international reserves in an unfavorable international context", emphasized Arce.

More than 7,000 people from Bolivia and other countries, including researchers, professionals and students, will participate in the meeting, both virtually and in person, to analyze the main topic "Contemporary Dilemmas of Economic Policy and the Trade off between Price Stability and Economic Recovery".
