Russian Armed Forces created special groups to confront tanks that Western countries supplied to Kyiv

Moscow, Apr 9 (RHC) The Russian Armed Forces created special groups to confront tanks that Western countries supplied to Kyiv, the head of the Combat Training Center, Evgueni Arifulin, announced today.

This work is organized following the instructions of the Russian Deputy Defense Minister, Colonel General Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, who established a concrete task to create these groups, Arifulin highlighted on the Telegram site of the Zviezdá television channel.

By his instructions, the head of the Russian Armed Forces Combat Training Center, Colonel General Ivan Buvaltsev, and his team drew up methodological recommendations and organized the implementation method, he added.

After this, the Combat Training Center will put into practice and execute these activities, Arifulin said.

In early April, the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Jens Stoltenberg, stated in a press conference that the military bloc was intensifying the production of ammunition and military supplies for Ukraine.

This senior official assured the first Leopard and Challenger 2 battle tanks are already in Ukraine. Stoltenberg noted that NATO member states had provided Ukraine with some 150 billion euros in aid, including military support of 65 billion euros.

Western countries had promised Ukraine a total of 293 main battle tanks and in early April Kiev received 57 of them. (Source: PL)
