Oklahoma City, August 22 (RHC)-- In the U.S. state of Oklahoma, the ACLU -- the American Civil Liberties Union-- and other groups are suing to stop the state from funding the nation’s first religious public charter school.

The groups say the St. Isidore of Seville Catholic Virtual School will violate rules for publicly funded schools, including indoctrinating students in religious beliefs, and “discriminate in admissions, discipline, and employment based on religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, and other protected characteristics.”
