Baghdad, April 24 (RHC)-- At least seven people have lost their lives in two separate bombings around the Iraqi capital, Baghdad. According to Iraqi police officials on Friday, four people were killed while eight others suffered injuries in a bomb explosion near an outdoor market in the town of Tarmiyiah, some 50 kilometers north of Baghdad.

The officials, who were speaking on condition of anonymity, further said that at least three more people fell victim to a separate bomb attack in the town of Mahmoudiyah, south of the capital city. Nine people also sustained injuries in that blast.

There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for the deadly attacks, but they bear the hallmarks of similar assaults by the ISIL Takfiri terrorists who currently control parts of Iraq and neighboring Syria.

On Thursday, a car bomb went off near the Iraqi city of Balad, killing at least eight people and injuring 16 others.
