Honduran Police Repress Anti-Corruption Demonstrators

Tegucigalpa, September 2 (RHC)-- In Honduras, police agents brutally repressed an anti-corruption demonstration. According to news reports, police used tear gas to disperse the crowd. Several journalists and cameramen, who were reporting on the spot, were injured.

Protesters were demanding the establishment of an International Anti-Impunity Commission in Honduras. The were also protesting against the privatization of public services like education and health care.
