Havana, August RHC)-- The Cuban Ministry of Transportation has announced  a readjustment in tariffs for landing and parking rights for aircrafts and aeronautical services on the island.

It also issued the mode of invoicing for air navigation services for aircrafts entry, transit or exit within the Flight Information Region or Havana Air Traffic Control Region  (ATCR), in accordance with international practice.

The measure came into effect with the release of the 57 Ordinary Official Gazette of the Republic this August 5, which  includes a resolution containing the agreement signed by the head of the Ministry of Transportation (Mitrans), Eduardo Rodriguez Davila.

In the document, the official explains that previous tariffs "no longer responded to the current requirements demanded by the provision of such services," going back to decisions  adopted 2006, 2007 and 2008  by the president of the Institute of Civil Aeronautics of Cuba.

Cuba ranks fifth in the control of air operations in Latin America and the Caribbean.
