Havana, October 29 (RHC)-- Researchers from the United States, Germany, Dominican Republic, Peru, and Sweden, among other nations, are participating in the 3rd Cuban Revolution, Genesis and Historical Development Symposium starting this Tuesday in the Cuban capital.

Historians, political scientists, and economists will exchange experiences at the event convened at the Havana Convention Center until Thursday.

Among other subjects, the event will focus on the transformation process that has been underway on the island for the last 60 years and the role of Fidel Castro (1926-2016), the architect and historic leader of this emancipatory project.

Delegates will be grouped in 11 work commissions to conduct their discussions,  and will also have the chance to participate in side events such as an exhibition of original posters on the Cuban Revolution, book presentations, and three panels on the figure and universal legacy of Fidel Castro.

This symposium, held every two years since 2015, brings together for the first time scholars from Hungary, China, the Czech Republic, Thailand, Mongolia, and Venezuela.
