Havana, December 5 (RHC) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel said Thursday that the resilience of the people of the Caribbean island is the best monument to the endless work of Fidel Castro.

Reacting on Twitter on media coverage of a march in the eastern city of Santiago de Cuba on the third anniversary of the burial of Fidel Castro’s ashes, Diaz-Canel said that Fidel lives in every compatriot who works, studies and resists with dignity the brutal onslaught of the empire.

“That is the best monument to his endless work,' he wrote, and then quoted the historical leader when said that 'Socialism is and will be the only hope, the only way for the peoples, for the oppressed, for the exploited, for the plundered; socialism is the only alternative! And today, when the enemies want to question it, we must defend it more than ever.''

Since November 25 many tributes have taken place island-wide to remember the legacy of the historical leader of the Revolution Fidel Castro.

Three years after his departure for immortality, he lives in the affection of his people and in the admiration of good men from all over the world.
