Havana, March 27 (RHC)--The Cuban business group BioCubaFarma, says that until Thursday, it had received requests from more than 45 countries to incorporate Recombinant Human Interferon Alpha 2b into their therapeutic arsenals against Covid-19.

Taking into account its proven antiviral properties, the drug continues to appear in the list of the most used medications in the protocols of many countries to face this global pandemic.

Based on a technology transfer made by the CIGB to China, in 2003, the Cuban-Chinese joint venture Chang Heber was created, with headquarters in the city of Changchun.

The modern plant currently manufactures a wide range of biotechnological products created in Cuban laboratories, including Recombinant Human Interferon Alpha 2b.
