Havana, August 20 (RHC)-- After working as advisors in the protection of Cuban collaborators and providing experience to Venezuelan health authorities in the fight against the new coronavirus, the five experts who carried out such an honorable mission in the South American nation arrived home to Havana on Thursday.

At Terminal Five of the José Martí International Airport, the Deputy Minister of Public Health Marcia Cobas Ruiz and Jorge Juan Delgado, Director of the Central Unit for Medical Collaboration, welcomed the group made up of specialists in health administration, epidemiology, virology, intensive care and clinical medicine.

For their outstanding performance, the small brigade of the internationalist contingent "Henry Reeve" was decorated in Caracas with the Order Francisco de Miranda.  And on the social network Twitter, President Nicolás Maduro, on behalf of the Venezuelan people, expressed his "infinite thanks to the Cuban medical team, Brother President Miguel Díaz-Canel and the heroic Cuban people for so much solidarity and support."
