Cuba reports 58 new cases of COVID-19

Havana, October 23 (RHC)-- The National Director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), Francisco Duran reported this Friday 58 new cases with Covid-19, after the study of 7107 samples in all the laboratories of molecular biology.

With the latest addition, 6479 patients have tested positive for the new coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic in Cuba.

Likewise, he pointed out that at the closing of this Thursday, 3489 patients were in hospitals and isolation centers, from which 690 were suspects, 2349 remained in surveillance, and 450 were confirmed active.

The Province of Pinar del Rio, the current hotspot in the country reported 29 cases. The neighboring province of Artemisa also showed an uptick with 19 cases.
