Cuban website receives award at World Information Summit

 Havana, May 19 (RHC)--The web portal of the radio station Radio Caibarién, from the central province of Villa Clara, was awarded at the World Summit of Information Society, informed the Cuban Ministry of Communications (MINCOM).

The digital page, recognized in the Media category, was chosen among the 18 projects present in the different categories of the contest.

According to MINCOM, five winners received the award in this category.

The general objectives of the publication are to inform, disseminate the tangible and intangible culture, history, and human values of the municipality of Caibarién, Cuba, and the world.

Meanwhile, the World Summit Forum on the Information Society, which is in session from this Monday until the 21st, represents the world's largest annual meeting of Information and Communication Technologies for development.
