Havana, August 10 (RHC)-- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel urged a collective effort to confront the high incidence of Covid-19 in the country.

The President recalled on Twitter that "there is health personnel working round the clock for days, and full-time government structures are in the battle."

"Only with everyone's effort, we will win," reiterated the Cuban head of State in his message.

Díaz-Canel pointed out that this week is decisive to reverse the complex epidemiological situation in the Caribbean nation.

According to the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), the average number of daily infections is 9,125. In the same period last month it was 6,464.

For this reason, Cuban health authorities anticipate an epidemiologically complex August, although the immunization process in the Caribbean country continues at a good pace.

Almost 11 million doses of the Soberana 02 vaccine candidate and the Abdala vaccine have been administered on the island through health intervention mechanisms, intervention studies, and clinical trials.
