Cuba reports 3,396 new cases of Covid-19 and 35 fatalities

Havana, October 8 (RHC)— Cuba reported on Friday 3396 new positive cases of Covid-19 and 35 deaths due to complications associated with the disease, the lowest figure in three months.

 

The country now accumulates 911 337  diagnosed people with the coronavirus since March 11, 2020 and 7,777 fatalities, said the national epidemiology chief of the Ministry of Public Health, Francisco Durán.

 

As of midnight, there were  22,211  patients with the active virus hospitalized in the  Caribbean nation.

 

Pinar del Rio reported 766 cases, Camaguey 398, and Sancti Spiritus 393. Those were the provinces with the highest number of cases over the last 24 hours.
