United Nations, December 24 (RHC)-- Cuba's permanent representative to the United Nations, Pedro Luis Pedroso, highlighted the prowess of the island's people, who this year managed to control the Covid-19 pandemic successfully.

On Twitter, the ambassador echoed the statements made by the Foreign Minister of the Caribbean island, Bruno Rodriguez, in recognition of the efforts made by Cubans in the face of the health crisis.

Likewise, he endorsed the minister's words when he assured that the Cuban Foreign Ministry and its staff would continue working together with the people as the great maker of foreign policy.

Pedroso added, with all loyalty to Fidel, to Raúl, under President Miguel Díaz-Canel's leadership,  with all the solidarity of the world and the efforts of Cubans living outside the country.

According to the Cuban Foreign Minister, 2022 will be a year of many opportunities after the people's feat of controlling the pandemic and defeating the aggression of the U.S. government.

Regardless of what Washington does to try to destroy the Revolution, it does not have in its hands to decide the destiny of the largest Antillean nation, Rodriguez stressed.
