Cuba reaches one million COVID-19 cases

Havana, January 17 (RHC)—Cuban health authorities reported 3,306 new COVID-19 infections, and with this figure, the Caribbean island surpasses one million cases detected since March 2020.

As of midnight, there were 17 443 confirmed patients hospitalized at home or in hospitals.

One death associated with the disease was reported.

With the latest update, Cuba accumulates 1 002 499 cases and 8 341 deaths.

With 419, Holguin province reported the highest number of cases. It was followed by , Camaguey with 257 and Artemisa with 245.
