Havana, May 21 (RHC)-- Vice President of the Republic of Turkey, Fuat Oktay, received on Friday the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Cuba, Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz.

During the cordial meeting, Oktay and Cabrisas reviewed the positive state of political relations between the two countries. They agreed on promoting and deepening economic, trade, financial, and cooperation relations between Havana and Ankara, especially in renewable energy, agriculture, livestock, health, and tourism.

Cabrisas conveyed an affectionate greeting from President Díaz-Canel to Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdogan. He thanked Turkey's traditional position in favor of the resolution adopted every year by the United Nations General Assembly against the U.S.  blockade of Cuba.
