Cuba cooperation France

Paris, Sept 29 (RHC) The Cuba Coopération France (CubaCoop) association today launched an urgent call for solidarity with the island through donations in the wake of the devastation caused in part of its western region by Hurricane Ian.

The Cuban population needs us, so we make this call for economic contributions to all its friends, said the organization created in 1995 to promote bilateral cooperation and the development of the Caribbean country through projects.

CubaCoop mentioned the considerable damage caused by Ian and its winds of 200 kilometers per hour in the west of the largest of the Antilles, impacted on Tuesday by the meteor.

Together with the request for help, the organization published its weekly report La Lettre électronique Hebdo, in which it recalled that Cuba has been suffering a war imposed by the United States for more than 60 years, the economic, commercial, and financial blockade.

In that sense, it called for petitions, public acts, and other actions in rejection of the siege that causes so much suffering. (Source: PL)
