Cuba and the United States discuss academic exchanges

The University of Havana maintains an active academic exchange with U.S. higher education centers.

  

 

Havana, Oct 6 (RHC) The University of Havana (UH) received on Wednesday the official of the Office of Public Affairs of the U.S. Embassy in Cuba, Xavier Jonathan Billingsley, who was interested in bilateral academic relations.

 

According to the university's rector, Miriam Nicado, the official also participated in a meeting with more than 30 young U.S. students attending the Semester Program at the UH.

 

The institution maintains an active academic exchange with U.S. higher education centers.

 

Examples include semester programs, summer schools, short courses, research stays, participation in events, and research projects.

 

The University of Havana was founded on January 5, 1728, by Dominican friars from the San Juan de Letran convent and was named the Royal and Pontifical University of San Geronimo de La Habana (Source: PL).
