U.S. Society

Havana, Oct 13 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, noted on his Twitter account that activists, politicians, and various sectors of the United States called for easing the blockade towards the Caribbean island.

Rodriguez recently pointed out that the U.S. government reinforces pressures on banking institutions and companies in the world interested in having relations with Cuba.

Likewise, he stated that the White House obsessively pursues all sources of foreign currency income in Cuba to provoke its economic collapse.

Next November the international community will vote once again at the United Nations (UN) against the blockade, which for more than 60 years has been limiting the development of Cuban families.

The administration of former President Donald Trump adopted 243 measures to tighten the blockade. The limitations are maintained by his successor, Joseph Biden even though a large part of the international community rejects this policy. (Source: PL)
