No new COVID-19 positive patients in Cuba

Havana, October 23 (RHC)-- The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) reported that at the end of yesterday, October 22, no confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported, out of a total of 1531 samples for surveillance.

The country accumulates 14 million 183 thousand 115 samples taken and 1 million 111 thousand 267 positive. A total of 31 patients have been admitted, 24 are suspected and 7 are confirmed active.

There are 8,530 deaths (0 during the day), a case fatality rate of 0.77% vs. 1.04% in the world and 1.58% in the Americas; 2 evacuated, 57 returned to their countries, 2 discharged during the day, totaling 1,102,671 (99.2%).

Minsap reports that there are no confirmed serious or critical patients in the country's Intensive Care Units.
