Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez reiterated the U.S. government is responsible for irregular emigration.

Havana, Oct 30 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez reiterated on Twitter that the U.S. government is responsible for the causes that today stimulate irregular emigration from our country and human trafficking.

During the recent presentation of the report that will be delivered by Cuba to the United Nations on the blockade, Rodriguez pointed out that the facilities that irresponsibly and deliberately, are granted to Cuban migrants arriving at the U.S. southern border, violate migration agreements and promote irregular flows.

He added that this reality, unfortunately, associated with other transnational crimes such as human trafficking and illegal smuggling of migrants, favors illegal, unsafe, and disorderly migration.

The day before, the island's Ministry of the Interior reported the collision of a speedboat from the United States with a surface unit of the Border Guard Troops, north of Bahia Honda, in the western province of Artemisa.

The authorities reported 23 people rescued, and the recovery of the bodies of five deceased (one man, three women, and a minor. (Source: Prensa Latina).
