Havana, Nov 14 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez stressed the importance of implementing international instruments for climate action.

In a message broadcast on Twitter, the head of Cuban diplomacy pointed out that the convention on climate change and its additional instruments (Kyoto Protocol and Paris Agreement) constitute foundations for climate action.

He added that the implementation of the decisions of the 27th Conference of the United Nations Convention on Climate Change (COP27), based in Egypt, including the Glasgow pact, must be governed by the principles of those instruments.

The Climate Summit paused its activities until Monday, November 14, in the midst of difficult negotiations in the elaboration of the final declaration, on several points, especially in the matter of compensation for damages to poor countries. (Source: Prensa Latina)
