Cuban President reaffirms support for Lula da Silva

Havana, Jan 9 (RHC) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel on Monday spoke over the phone with his Brazilian counterpart Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva to reaffirm his country's support ahead of right-wingers´ violent attacks to destabilize his government.

According to the president in his Twitter account, during the conversation with Lula, he ratified the will to promote and deepen bilateral ties for the benefit of both peoples.

These images of vandalism, destruction, and violence have been seen before. With their refusal to recognize the triumph of the alternative, the Bolsonaristas in Brazil are emulators of the Trumpists who stormed the Capitol in Washington, the Cuban head of state said.

Various authorities and institutions in the country rejected these actions and reaffirmed their solidarity with Lula da Silva, among them, the Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero, as well as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez, and the president of the National Assembly of People's Power, Esteban Lazo Hernandez.
