Cuba mourns death of Gambian Vice President

Havana, Jan 19 (RHC) Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Cuban Foreign Minister, mourned the death of Badara Alieu Joof, vice president of The Gambia.

 

Through a message on the social network Twitter, the foreign minister sent condolences to the people and government of Gambia, as well as his family and loved ones.

 

Before assuming the vice presidency in May 2022, Joof served as minister of Higher Education, Research, Science, and Technology.

 

Cuba and Gambia established diplomatic relations in 1979 and have maintained cooperation in the health sector for more than three decades. (Source: ACN)
