Havana, Jan 23 (RHC) The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel met Monday in Argentina with artists, intellectuals, and academics from that country, in the context of an official visit to Buenos Aires.

 

The Cuban dignitary will participate tomorrow in the 7th Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).

 

The Cuban Presidency informed on its Twitter account that the Minister of Culture of the South American nation, Tristán Bauer, participated in the meeting along with more than 70 representatives of the sector.

 

Renowned journalist and writer Stella Calloni stated that Cuba is the greatest example of resistance in Latin America.

 

Díaz-Canel expressed his deep admiration for the group of intellectuals present and the joy of being there.

 

This morning, the head of state of the largest Antillean island also met with Argentine businessmen, to whom he confirmed the willingness of the two governments to continue strengthening the relations of exchange and economic collaboration. (Source: ACN)
