Havana, Feb 23 (RHC) Commander of the Revolution Ramiro Valdés Menéndez, Cuba's deputy prime minister, checked Thursday the maintenance program of the 'Antonio Maceo' (Renté) Thermoelectric Power Plant (CTE) in the eastern province of Santiago de Cuba.

From his Twitter profile, the also Hero of the Republic and Hero of Labor considered that it is useful to share experiences in these tasks among all the personnel of the different CTEs in the country, which will be valuable to raise the quality and safety of the results.

With an installed capacity of 400 megawatts (MW), Renté contributes to the National Electric System (SEN) about 12 percent of the thermal energy necessary for the generation of electricity in the country.
