Havana, Apr 8 (RHC) Rescue efforts continue for the fourth worker, Lázaro Montero Pita, trapped in the rubble after Friday's accident at the Antonio Guiteras Thermoelectric Power Plant (CTE), in the western Cuban province of Matanzas.

The workers were in the lower part of the chimney in the area known as the ashtray where they were extracting soot and other cleaning tasks when a seven-meter-high wall, collapsed.

So far two people were rescued alive and the body of Alexis Bernardo Labrada Junco, 47 years old, from Granma, was recovered.

In the evening hours the first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in Matanzas, Sucely Morfa González, wrote on her Twitter account that without rest and with precision the search continues.
