Nicolás Maduro reaffirmed the call to nations and international institutions for a Multilateral Summit for Peace and International Legality.
Caracas, July 26 (RHC)-- Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has emphasized that the Palestinian cause is a central struggle for humanity, stating that "if humanity triumphs in Palestine, justice and the right to peace will triumph," during his visit to the multi-platform teleSUR for its 20th anniversary.
The Bolivarian leader specified that "if humanity is defeated in Palestine, horrific times will come, of violence, massacre, and war." He also warned of the risk of a "new Nazism, Nazi-Zionism" if the genocide in Palestine is not stopped.
Within the framework of the meeting, he celebrated France's recognition of the Palestinian state, stating: "I celebrate and congratulate the people of France and thank President Macron for recognizing the right to the existence of the Palestinian state."
He underscored the relevance of the UN resolutions of 1948 and 1967, which establish key principles, such as the right of return for refugees and the recognition of borders, criticizing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for ignoring the laws established by international law in general, especially in relation to the expansion of Israeli settlements and the occupation of Palestinian territories.
The president called on the peoples of the world, Arab and Muslim countries, the Arab League, the Organization of the Islamic Community, China, Russia, India, the BRICS, and the United States to convene a multilateral summit to promote peace and international legality.
"The Arab countries, the Arab League, China, Russia, India, the BRICS, and the United States must urgently convene a Multilateral Summit for Peace and International Legality. We must rethink the rules of the game, for renewed respect for the rules that gave rise to the United Nations," he emphasized.
He also proposed rethinking the order established in 1945 with the creation of the United Nations, guaranteeing the right to life and independence of Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Yemen, Iran, and Iraq. He criticized the UN's silence regarding the murder of thousands of Palestinians, highlighting the global mobilization for peace.
President Nicolás Maduro asserted that "what is happening right now is Gaza. It is a demonstration-effect war. It is: 'I launch missiles and kill whoever they want'; 'I starve them to death or I kill them looking for food and I machine-gun them, and I don't care about the institutions."
In this regard, he denounced that "the International Court of Justice remains silent, paralyzed, and issues rulings on issues that no one expects, but it issues no rulings on life. The International Criminal Court remains silent, looking the other way, while thousands of children, girls, and women fall every day trying to reach a piece of bread. The UN remains silent."
