Ydael Perez, Minister of Agriculture, in Villa Clara.

Sana Clara, May 7 (RHC) Cuba's Minister of Agriculture, Ydael Pérez, on Sunday, gave a keynote lecture on the Food Sovereignty and Nutritional Education Law to producers in the Cuban province of Villa Clara.

The minister chose the municipality of Camajuaní for his lecture, 24 kilometers away from this city in central Cuba, because of its agricultural achievements in the 90 x 90 productive movement and other outstanding harvesters of agricultural production cooperatives in the area.

The essence of the Cuban minister's conference was the attention to producers, the delivery of land, and achieving an increase in agricultural production for the people.

He also insisted on increasing livestock production, reducing the theft and slaughter of large livestock, as well as attending to the demands of farmers, since agriculture is part of all sectors of the territory.

Ydael Pérez also inquired about the current scenario in the social development of the communities where farmers live in the municipality and emphasized that it is very important to pay attention to producers and their families. (Source: PL)
