Private sector of Cuba with representation in the Summit of the Peoples

Havana, Jul 15 (RHC) The entrepreneur José Luis Acosta will represent Cuba's emerging private sector at the Brussels-2023 People's Summit, a forum that was considered today a space for dialogue and contribution to the search for a more just world.

Acosta, who is the president-general director of JR Soluciones -a company linked to refrigeration, air conditioning and renewable energy-, expressed his expectations for the meeting of European, Latin American and Caribbean civil society actors, scheduled for 17 and the July 18.

This forum of social, union and solidarity movements and progressive political forces will meet at the Free University of Brussels, in parallel to the 3rd Summit of Heads of State and Government of the European Union and the Community of Latin American States and Caribbean.

The Cuban businessman said that both regions should join efforts to address current challenges and establish a more equal and less exclusive international trade. He stressed the importance of discussing in depth the global financial structure, which he described as dysfunctional.

Regarding the reality of Cuba, marked by more than 60 years of US blockade, Acosta expressed the need for Europeans, Latin Americans and the Caribbean to demand the elimination of economic, financial and commercial restrictions applied against nations of the region in Brussels. (Source: PL)
