Mexico returns 138 migrants with irregular status to Cuba

The returned migrants left Cuba legally and then took irregular routes to reach the Mexican border with the United States

 

Havana, Oct 30 (RHC) A total of 138 Cuban citizens (92 men and 46 women) were returned to Cuba this Sunday by the Mexican authorities on a flight made through the José Martí international airport.

According to the Ministry of the Interior, these people left Cuba legally and subsequently became involved in irregular routes to try to reach the Mexican border with the United States. This is the eighth operation from that country, with 572 people in total.

In general, with this flight there are 118 returns made this year with 4,779 people returned from different nations in the region.
