Havana, November 8 (RHC) -- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel reiterated Wednesday the demand for the cessation of the genocide of the Zionist State of Israel against the Palestinian population.

In his profile on the social network X, the head of state published a phrase pronounced 40 years ago by the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, in his speech during the VII Summit Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement, at the Palace of Culture in New Delhi, India, March 7, 1983:

"Never has the Palestinian cause seemed more just than in the contrast with the repulsive brutality of its adversaries. Humanity will forget neither the heroism of the attacked nor the barbarism of the aggressors," he said.

According to Palestinian non-governmental organizations, since October 7, more than 10,000 Palestinians have died in the Gaza Strip, including more than 4,000 minors, as a result of the indiscriminate bombardment of the Hebrew State's air force against the civilian population.

Through a joint communiqué, Al Mezan, Al-Haq and the Palestinian Center for Human Rights also denounced that the population of this coastal enclave is facing genocide, ethnic cleansing and massive displacement caused by the new Israeli aggression.

They reported that the incursions have so far damaged or destroyed more than 260,000 homes in the Strip, which constitute 50 percent of the enclave's total.

The facts on the ground are very clear, no place in the territory is safe anymore, they said.

All efforts within the United Nations Security Council to stop the aggression and seek a negotiated solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict have been vetoed by the United States, the main ally of the Israeli regime. (Source:PL)
