Prime Minister of Cuba holds meeting with Italian businessman

The Italian businessman expressed his love for Cuba and affirmed that the US blockade will not hinder development of bilateral relations

 

Havana, Nov 23 (RHC) Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz this Tuesday held a meeting with Italian businessman Ernesto Preatoni, who expressed his interest in Cuba’s potential and attractions to invest in tourism.

The official account of the Cuban Government on X indicated that the visitor expressed his love for Cuba and declared that the blockade imposed by the United States cannot prevent the development of bilateral relations.

Cuba and Italy maintain close economic ties, reflected in the regular visits of Italian businessmen to the Antillean nation and in the celebration of agreements of common interest such as the Cuba-Italy Binational Committee.

The European country is among Cuba's top 10 trading partners, while the Caribbean country is considered a priority for Italian cooperation, especially in regard to food security and the recovery of architectural heritage. (Source: PL)
