Cuban and Venezuelan Foreign Ministers hold meeting in the context of the Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement

Havana, Jan 18 (RHC) The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, held a meeting this Thursday with his counterpart from Venezuela, Yván Gil, during the meetings of the Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).

In his X account, Rodríguez announced that he conveyed congratulations to Gil for the excellent way in which his country has conducted the activities of the Group of Friends in Defense of the UN Charter that met within the framework of the Summit.

The Group of Friends is made up of Angola, Algeria, Belarus, Bolivia, Cambodia, China, Cuba, Eritrea, Palestine, Russia, Equatorial Guinea, Mali, Nicaragua, Iran, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Laos, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Syria, Venezuela and Zimbabwe.

The head of Cuban diplomacy intervened this Thursday in the activities of that forum, where he proposed continuing to coordinate practical actions that contribute to stopping the genocide against the Palestinian people.

He warned that the United States and its NATO allies resort to all kinds of practices to impose their domination, such as the instigation of conflicts, the violation of the United Nations Charter and International Law, as well as intensifying illegal unilateral coercive measures.

The Cuban Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of coordinating actions in the Group in important intergovernmental processes, and focusing on stopping the genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza and also in the West Bank. (Source: PL)
