The route will link the Simón Bolívar international airport with the Cuban eastern province of Holguín

Havana, March 8 (RHC) The Venezuelan airline Rutaca will inaugurate today a new commercial route to link the Simón Bolívar international airport, in Maiquetía, Venezuela, with the Frank País international air terminal, in the Cuban eastern province of Holguín.

This charter flight will have two weekly frequencies, Tuesdays and Fridays, and will be a great opportunity to connect the South American nation with that Cuban territory, recognized for its intense cultural life, beautiful natural landscapes and paradisiacal beaches.

The trip will be an opportunity for more than 60 tourism professionals, from 38 of the main Travel Agencies in Venezuela and 20 press workers, to experience and enjoy the attractions of the region, for their subsequent marketing of this destination in expansion.

The new air route will also serve to market the centers of the historic and attractive province of Santiago de Cuba.

This FAM Group (familiarization trip) is organized by the International Group of Tour Operators and Travel Agencies, Havanatur, together with Belraysa Tours & Travel Group S.A., based in Panama and specialized in the Cuba destination.

The general manager of Belraysa Tours, Jorge Guerra, told the press that the purpose of the flight is to achieve a tourist exchange between both countries, since Holguín is one of the provinces in eastern Cuba that has the tourist center of Guardalavaca, great quality, importance, and paradisiacal beaches.

He pointed out that from Holguín, the historic city of Santiago de Cuba, cradle of the Revolution, can be accessed in two hours.

Guerra indicated that the population of Holguín, Santiago and others nearby will be able to do tourism in Venezuela, given that this flight will allow the exchange of passengers from one destination to another, which will favor the development of the so-called no-chimney industry in both nations.

Regarding Cuban tourism in Venezuela, the general manager of Belraysa Tours & Travel Group S.A. expressed that they intend to increase the purchasing modality in the Punto Fijo commercial area, in the tourist and vacation destination of Margarita Island, in addition to developing historical tourism in the city of Caracas.
