Havana, April 9 (RHC) -- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez announced through his account on X, his participation in the Virtual Meeting of CELAC Foreign Ministers in response to the violent break-in at the Mexican Embassy in Ecuador.

"I firmly denounced the outrage against Mexican sovereignty, which could set a very serious precedent and jeopardize international relations and cooperation between States," wrote the foreign minister on the social network.   "It is a serious, unacceptable event, which does not admit any justification. We defend the force of law."

Rodríguez Parrilla added that Latin America and the Caribbean is and must continue to be a Zone of Peace, as proclaimed by CELAC in Havana ten years ago.

He reiterated Cuba's support and solidarity to President López Obrador and his government, to Alicia Barcena and to the dear Mexican people.

"Mexico can count on Cuba's readiness and willingness to accompany them in the actions they undertake in the face of this serious transgression of International Law," the Cuban diplomat affirmed. (Source: XBrunoRguezP)
