Minister of Health of Angola recognizes Cuba's experience in vector control

Luanda, April 21 (RHC)-- The Minister of Public Health of Angola, Silvia Lutucuta, highlighted that her country closely follows Cuba's experience in vector control, as one of the actions to confront malaria, the main cause of death in the African nations.

In an interview with an Angolan newspaper, the minister expressed that the country has taken advantage of its historical relations with the island in the field of health, and specifically in the case of malaria, it benefits from its knowledge in vector control.

She also highlighted that specialized training in Family Medicine is currently carried out in the municipalities with Cuban teachers and this helps the training component of good community medicine practices, which are fundamental in prevention, care and health education. (Source: Prensa Latina)
