XVII May Day International Brigade of Voluntary Work and Solidarity with Cuba visits Cienfuegos

Cienfuegos, April 24 (RHC)-- The XVII May 1st International Brigade of Voluntary Work and Solidarity with Cuba will be received this Thursday, April 25th, in the José Martí Park, in Cienfuegos -- beginning a program of activities that will last until next Sunday, as reported by Eugenio Mayón, Provincial Delegate of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).

They will learn about the results of the work in the Socio-Cultural Project Art in your hands, the Mártires de Playa Girón Ambulatory Surgery Center of the Ministry of Public Health, the Guerrillero Heroico Primary School, the Socialist Oleohydraulic State Company and a Specialized Design MSME.

They will tour the city of Cienfuegos, one of the four cities in Cuba declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO and will undertake a day of volunteer work at the Mártires de Barbados Agricultural Production Cooperative.

They will arrive at the Tomás Terry Theater and will hold a meeting with the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) in district 69, one of the districts of the Pearl of the South.   They will participate in the central May Day parade in Havana, among other activities scheduled in the capital of all Cubans and in the province of Artemisa.

Invited by ICAP and its travel agency, Amistur Cuba S.A., this XVII May 1st International Brigade of Voluntary Work and Solidarity with Cuba arrived in Havana on April 21, made up of 250 members from all continents along with Ernesto Che Guevara. and they will remain in our country until May 4th.
